Friday's Letters and Some Awesome News

Dear Friday, I am not as excited for you as most people are. I have to work all weekend, and I have been enjoying the week a lot! However, I cannot complain about having most of the week off. I have thoroughly enjoyed the time with my mom and sister.

Dear New House, Yes, You all heard me right...I said NEW HOUSE! We actually have a house. I cannot wait to start painting and moving in already. I just want my bed in an actual bed frame and my room set up all pretty again. Plus it will be nice to actually say the words my home and mean the word home. Not just some house we are temporarily staying in. God is so good and I am so stoked! I cannot thank Him enough.

Dear Rental, I will not miss you, and I will rejoice the day I do not have to come home to you.

Dear Readers, I apologize. I have not posted my DIY American Shorts yet, and I know I promised they would be up this week. I have been incredibly exhausted by the night time, so when I go to post I just feel tired. I am going to try and have them up by Monday!

Dear D, You have been busy most of the week working on your message. I just want to say I know you are stressed and worried, but I know that you are going to do a wonderful job like always! I cannot wait to be there to support you.

Some Empties

Hello Ladies!!
How are your weeks going? We are half way to the weekend! I can't believe it. Summer seems to be going so fast.

So here is my promised empties post! I know I only have 3...which is kind of sad. However, since I am still living out of boxes any extra clutter in this house is awful and super unneeded. So 3 empties is all we get together.

The first one is Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation.  I was the shade medium 1. I think that this one was the second time I had bought this foundation, and I only bought it the second time because the store did not have my shade in the kind that I wanted. To be honest that was a really bad decision. I have pretty oily skin, and this foundation only made me look really shiny, and that was using it with a powder. It was very light coverage as well. I will not be buying this again.

Number two is OXY Max Action Advanced Face Wash. This was the second time I had this face wash, and I love it. It has Benzoyl Peroxide in it, which is something that works really well for my skin. The first time I bought this face wash I was having really bad break outs, and it really helped calm my skin down. This second time around it didn't work as well. I would recommend this to people, but I don't think I will purchase it again since I think my skin has got used to it. I may buy it in a few months or so though.

Lastly, I have the Up and Up Make up remover wipes. This is compared to the Neutrogena Wipes. I have already purchased these again, because they do work really well for me. I honestly am not biased to this brand at all it is just the cheapest one.

Tell me some products you have been loving!

A Weekend Of Work and Time With Loved Ones

Hello Friends!

It is another Monday! This month seems to have gone by so fast! I cannot believe we are almost to July. My summer is almost over. This is slightly exciting to me as I am so ready to be back at school, and into my new internship. How is your summer going? Are you ready for fall yet?

The weekend started Friday night for me. I had a bachelorette party to go to for a wedding I am in. We went line dancing.

It was something that was out of my comfort zone. I am not one to dance, but the country aspect was so me. I had a lot of fun though.

Saturday I worked in the morning and that evening my family and Donny went on a picnic in the park! That was so fun! It has been so nice outside lately, and so to eat outside at a local park was a blast. I am so sorry for not taking more pictures! I promise I really am trying!

After the picnic we came home and watched the movie Trouble With the Curve. I had never seen it before, but I love baseball movies. It was kind of a slow start, but I enjoyed it. Then we went outside and watched the supermoon. I think that is so awesome! God's creation is just incredible!

Sunday I had to work once again, and then D and I went to Disneyland. We haven't had anytime to spend just us recently so it was a wonderful little date. Plus I just can't get enough of that place! I believe my sister and I are going again today ;)

So there is the recap of my weekend! I want to give you guys a few things to look forward to for the week! I have my Forth of July shorts tutorial coming this week, and an empties post! If there is any other tutorial you want to see comment below!

Life Lately...The Beach

Hi Beauties!

My week has been pretty blah! I have been working mostly on my American Flag shorts, but I do not want to post a picture of them just yet! I still want to keep it a surprise. Eventually I will post a tutorial though, I promise! I haven't worked all week long, so I have been hanging at home. My mom, her coworker, and I have been walking a local little mountain in the mornings for exercise. That is really fun, and the weather has been so nice her so being outside has just been wonderful!

Today my sister, my mom, her friend, and I headed down to Balbo beach for the day! It was beautiful, and so fun! I enjoyed it immensely! So here is beach pictures just because!

Now I am sitting at Donny's as him and his dad watch game 7. I have always been a very alethic girl, but never been one to watch sports. Since my father has a house full of girls at home sports were never something to be found on the tv. This then was passed on to me. Since dating Donny I have watched 2 superbowls. Which is impressive if you ask me!

Anyway as I sit here, I am painting my nails...because what else is there to do while the men watch sports?!
sally Hansen: sonic bloom
NYC: Times Square Tangerine Crème

How are your weeks going?

PS. The best way to watch sports is by rooting for the opposite team ;)

DIY High Waisted Shorts

Hi Darlings!

So if you follow me on twitter you know that I made high wasited shorts this weekend. I have been seriously loving this style, but really did not want to buy a $30 pair of shorts. Plus, I have seen so many DIY pins on pinterest of how to make them. I decided I would take a swing at it! The main guide that I used was this YouTube video.

Step 1: I found these jeans at goodwill. I went through and found some with a high waist. Mine are from the little boys section because I couldn't find some in the men's section that fit me.

Step 2: Try the pants on and make a mark where you want the length to be at. My mother has always I mean ALWAYS taught me to make that mark longer than what you want. You can always trim the jeans, but you cannot add to them. So cut the pants longer!

Step 3: Take the scissors to them! Now I cut them long, put the pants back, and then trimmed them again. I did this like 3 different times. By doing this multiple times you make sure that you don't cut the shorts to short. I just kept trimming until I found the desired length. In the YouTube video she cuts the short at an angle. As you can see in the picture I tried that in the beginning and decided to just cut them straight by the end.

There is my final product! You can see me wearing them in an outfit here! I am totally loving these shorts!

Tell me if you have tried making some shorts of your own!

Fathers Day Weekend

Hello Dear Friends!

Here comes another Monday. The weekend is past and we are back to the grind. I have to laugh a little at saying the grind. My grind of the week is so not difficult. I have it very easy, and I am loving that. It finally feels like an actual summer. It is just wonderful! I can't complain.

My weekend was very lovely! It was so fun and relaxing. Plus I got to spend it with my family. My family is very close, and we love having family days together. Sadly, I can say that I do not have very many pictures. I know I fail! I am seriously going to start striving to be better and taking pictures for you all! I promise!

Saturday my family woke up fairly early for most Saturday mornings, and we went garage saling.

This is something my mom has taught my sister and me the art of since we were very little! We also find some sort of treasure! This weekend mine was a Estee Lauder make up travel case. I was so excited and I just finished wiping it all down. Now to load all of my make up treasures inside.
After that we went house hunting. We saw house after house after house. Just hoping that we will love one and be able to get it. All prayers for my family finding a house are seriously appreciated!
That night Donny and my sisters friend came over and we barbecued chicken. We then all took a trip to the movies and saw man of steel. Which was amazing! There was a lot of unnecessary fighting if I do say so but it was still really good. Plus he was just an awesome superman!

Sunday was fathers day! After church my family headed down to the beach for some bike rides per dads request.

I absolutely enjoyed myself. Being at the beach is one of my favorite things ever!! I hope dad enjoyed his weekend too.

So yup! That is my weekend. What was yours like? Did you do anything special for your dad?

What I'm Loving Link Up

Hi Friends!

I have been waiting to link up with Katie since she started her Saturday series! Plus, I just love her! Go check her out!

So here ya go! What I have been loving!

Song: There are two this week! I am linking the two music videos because I also love the music videos and think they are adorable! Number one is Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran Everything Has Changed. I think that the little kids are adorable, and I am a sucker for red heads! Number two is Hunter Hayes I Want Crazy. I just love Hunter Hayes!

Clothes: High waisted shorts! I am going to write my tutorial soon, but I did make those ones! I am seriously loving this style, and my inner hipster is coming out!

Food: Rite Aid ice cream. I don't know if the fact that that is my favorite food this week makes me a fatty, but I still love ice cream! I could eat ice cream all the time!

Sales: I just have to include this one, because there are so many stores doing their semi annul sale right now. Victoria Secret, Hollister, and Bath and Body Works. I just bought 5 candles for $12 and I could not be more excited!

What have you guys been loving this past week?

It's Friday

Dear Work, I think I have said it so many times here on this blog, but I am thoroughly enjoying you! I love being there, and I am having so much fun! Plus I keep talking about you which is a very good sign.

Dear YouTubers, You guys do not post videos as much as I would like. I can say that I have never vlogged before and it must be hard to edit. Much harder then blogging, but I really wish you would post more.

Dear Target, I need to stop visiting you. I obviously spend way to much money there. We need to get on some sort of spending plan of when I can buy and when I cannot.

Dear D, I miss spending time with you. We have been on opposite schedules this week and I do not enjoy it. Can we get back to those date nights?

Lately...

My life lately.....via my iphone...

So I have been spending a lot of time at my job and Disneyland the last couple of days! I am totally loving my job, and um duh! I love Disneyland!

Cynthia and I took a trip just us girls to visit Walt.

Today my mom, sister, and I all had the day off and so we finally got to spend the day just us girls. This is rare now that we are all working that we all get to spend the day together. We went out to lunch and thrifting and I bought some pants to make into high waisted shorts (tutorial will be up soon). We had a lovely day!

This is a picture from work. I got to paint a sample piece. If you can't tell what it is suppose to be it is Mrs. Potts from Beauty and The Beast. You know me...typical Disney Geek!

Yup! That is my life lately. Notice there is no pictures of Donny and I. Yeah we have both been so busy this last week. I am in need of some time together. I think we are going out this weekend. I sure hope so!

What is up with you all lately?

Happieness

Hi Dear Ones!

How is your weeks going? We are almost to the weekend! Are you excited? I am! I have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off of work! WOOT WOOT!!! Donny would say that while I typed that I would do a little dance with my fingers and he would laugh at me. So here is my happy little finger dance!

Speaking of happy I am extremely happy! You know those times in life when you are just busy and you just feel blessed. Well I feel that way! I am completely enjoying my new job. I come home talking about it, and I have new stories to tell my parents every day. When I talk about something a lot you know that I am excited and enjoying it. That is how it is with this job. I am just loving it.

I know that happiness is a fleeting emotion and we are told over and over again in the Bible not to rely on it. Our emotions can change in a second. I think we women completely understand this. I mean watch a Nicholas Sparks movie and one minute we are all happy and in love then the next we are balling our eyes out! (I may or may not be speaking from experience)

So yes our emotions are fleeting and we may not always be happy, but as I say this I think that just because things may only make us happy for a few minutes or a few days does not mean they are wrong. I think we should do what makes us happy. I think that being happy is a good thing. We are meant to enjoy life and live it to the fullest that God has granted us. We must love what we do and how we spend our days.

That being said I am happy. I am happy with where the Lord has me right now. I am so thankful for all that he is doing.

Are you enjoying life?

P.S. I must give a shout out to my wonderful boyfriend. Today is 11 months of us dating!! We are almost to one year and I am extremely blessed to have in my life!

Sister Dates, Bridal Showers, and Work

Hi Friends!

My weekend was such a blur! I have been running all over it feels like! I was so happy to finally have the weekend though. Working two jobs was not easy for me. I also apologize for not writing my Friday Letters. I had to work all day for my last day at the daycare and then I took my sister to Disneyland. We had a nice fun little sister date!

We stayed pretty late in the park watching World of Color. It was nice to have some girl time. Saturday I had a bridal shower to attend of a wedding that I will be in soon. She is a good friend of mine who I worked my first job with in a bookstore. The party was tea party themed. It was so cute and so fun celebrating her!

After the shower Donny, his parents, and I went out to the movies and saw Now You See Me. I loved it!! I was super excited for this movie! The previews looked awesome and everyone I talked to said it had so many twist and turns. Which it did! I am not going to give anything away, but I will tell you go see it! That movie was so worth the money spent.

Sunday was a pretty chill day. I went to church that morning, and then worked that night. I am seriously enjoying my new job! I loved being covered in paint, and being around the kids. It is just all around fun!

That's my weekend! What was yours like? Did you go to any showers this weekend? Let me know below!

New Jobs

Hi Pretties!

How are your weeks going?

Mine has been so busy! I am so sorry for the lack of content. My brain is so fried! So far every day this week I have worked 9 hours straight with only a 10 min break driving to the next job. My body is exhausted!

I am so ready to be on to the next job. I know that I will miss my kids in daycare, but I am ready for a change. This is going to be my third job, and I am loving it so far.

How many of you have had to leave or change jobs? Did you miss them or were you ready to move on?

I can say that I am ready to move on. I can't wait for the different kinds of people that I am going to meet. I have loved watching all the kids come in to paint with their moms and dads already. It is so fun to see what they want to paint, and how they do it. Plus I think that finally working at a different location then my church really gives me the opportunity to shine my light.

So wish me luck my friends and tell me your job stories!

11 Questions From Emily

1. What's a book that changed your life (or that you just really liked)?
      - I would have to say it was an entire series. It would have to be The Christy Miller Series by Robin Jones Gunn. It is sort of a romance story, but I fell in love because it is realistic. The Series follows a young girl and her life. The other series that Robin Jones Gunn writes are all connected and they use the same characters. It changed my life since I was really able to relate to the girls, and what they were going through. Plus it is a Christian book so everything was based on young girls and their faith. I say go check them out!
2. What do you do besides blog?
     - I go to school. I work, and I hang out with my family and boyfriend.
3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
    - If I could go anywhere I would go to Europe. I really would love to back pack through Europe. Start at like Germany and work my way down.
4. What's your favorite time of the year and why?
   - I love Christmas time because everyone seems more cheerful, but I also love summer since that is when I seem to get to spend the most time with the people I care about most.
5. What's the food you could eat any day, any time?
   - I think that would be granola bars. They are filling, and healthy!
6. What's your favorite quote or words to live by?
   - Matthew 17:20 "He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
7. Do you have any hidden talents?
-No. I am so not a talented person at all!
8. What do you consider your most unique trait or experience?
    - Hmmm....I think this question really can be based off your definition of unique. I am a pretty unique person, and I am very quirky. My unique trait could be that I am oh so clumsy, or that I am act very young and I am entertained by little things.
9. Tropical beach vacation or adventurous mountain vacation?
    - Tropical beach!
10. What's your favorite thing about where you live?
   - That I am an hour from Disneyland, an hour from the beach, and an hour from the mountains.

My Weekend

Hello All!

It is another Monday! Sorry for the lateness of the post, but I was out late last night, and have been working all day long! So far I am totally loving this new job. It has been so fun! I am really enjoying learning new things, and about the way ceramics works.

This weekend was a busy one, but enjoyable! Saturday a local store had a pinterest party! It was seriously an awesome idea, and so much fun! The store's name is Lux and here is their blog. My sister and I attended the party, and there were 5 different crafts. The first one was the mug. Others were a mason jar cup, a flower crown, a photo strip, and a plant.

The party was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed it. After that Donny and I headed to one of my closes friends graduation party. We ran errands after that. It was a nice relaxing day!

After church on Sunday I had to work at color me mine. While I worked Donny took my sister and his to Disneyland. I met them down there after work. I didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was a nice little time spent together.

So that was my weekend. Nothing special, but nice and relaxing. What did you guys do this weekend?
