First Day As An Intern

Yesterday was my first day of my summer internship. I am interning for Lauren at Details Beyond Design. She creates invitations or stationary for people. Getting this internship was something I was so excited about! It was such a blessing, and I am so excited to learn from her.

Since this internship is for a small business I don't have to dress up too much. This is the outfit I choose to wear. I wanted to be professional and still comfortable. I also wanted to be able to layer a cardigan or sweater since I tend to always get cold! This outfit worked perfectly for all of my intern needs, and my first day was glorious!

Inspiration for May

1. FOR MY EXCITEMENT because I am determined to go to sea world this month.
2. FOR CHANGE because it is coming...be excited.
3. FOR MY KITTY because now that I am on summer I get to spend so much more time with him.
4. FOR ALL THE DRIVING because I am back to semi long distance and that drive will be happening frequently.
5. FOR FLOWERS because it is almost peony season and that makes me happy.

When Things Come To An End

Today is officially my last shift working for Community Life at my school. I will clock out, turn in my key, and that will be it. All of these facts have me feeling quiet nostalgic. Working for this office for the last 2 years has made such a huge impact on me. My college experience would be extremely different if I had not gotten accepted into student leadership. I know that once I graduate I will look back at college and mostly see my time spent planning events, and being apart of this family. And that's really what my bosses and the other interns I worked with has become. A family.

I am really sad to see this time in my life end. Especially since I am not exactly sure what God has for me next. Because of that it seems just a little harder to leave and makes me a little more sad. A stage of my life is ending and yet one isn't quiet beginning yet. I am doing my best to trust God and know that he has a plan. He knows I need a job and he is going to bring the perfect one for me for the next stage of life that I am going to enter.

So here's to the amazing times that Community Life brought me. The friends and loved ones that I will never forget. They have all influenced my life in one way or another. I will miss working with this office so much, and I promise that I will come to the events you plan next year.

Colored Blazer

I would first like to start out this post apologizing for my absence here on the blog. My junior year is coming to an end and it has been so busy! I have been busy living life, and I promise to do an update soon!

Anyway this is the last outfit post that I did with Ashley. Colored Blazers are serious so great in my opinion! Especially when you work in an office where dressing up is a must. I tend to always think of business clothes as neutral colors. However, adding a pop of color like this can be so fun! It really allows a person to show their personality while still looking professional.

Blue Lace Dress

Here's another fun outfit from my shoot with Ashley! This dress is from Forever 21, and I never would have thought to pair it with a cardigan like this one. Once Ashley told me she wanted me to wear it too and I saw it on I totally had a different feeling about this cardigan.

Also can we talk about this random little field. My parents took Michael and I on a bike ride a few weeks ago and we discovered this field behind my house. It's so cute! There's all these random trees and stumps. It was a fun little shoot.

RV Beach Camping

The weekend before last Michael and I went beach camping with his family to celebrate his brother-in-laws birthday. It was so fun! I really enjoy spending time around his family. They own an RV which is something I've never been camping in before. We camped down in San Diego at Camp Pendleton, and it was so beautiful! The weather was wonderful, and we all ate so much good food! It was a wonderful little break from the craziness of school.
Almost everyone packed into the RV with the dogs!
I learned to fly a kite! Afterwards I couldn't help singing the song from Mary Poppins "Lets Go Fly A Kite!"
The ice-cream truck drove past our RV and Michael spoiled me and bought me some. Isn't he the best?! ;)
Michael's sister is a genius with hair! She played with mine and braided it twice over the weekend. It was so beautiful and fun to have my hair done.
Here's the whole group we stayed with!

Have you ever been RV camping before? What kind of experiences did you have?

Moo's Musing Turns Two

Yesterday is a pretty important day in my life. Not only did I get to celebrate blogging for two years, but it is also Michael's and my first anniversary. March 31st is a pretty important day to me!

Blogging is such a fun hobby of mine. I love doing it and wish I could do it more often. I really love the community that the blogging world is! Everyone is so welcoming and nice that it is such a wonderful thing to be apart of.

I also want to thank all of you readers. You guys mean so much to me and I am so thankful for you. Every comment makes me feel so special and I love getting to know all of you and follow along with others blogs. Thank you for an awesome two years!

Floral Spring Dress

A few weeks ago I got to model for a friend of mines school project. It was a fun day of multiple locations and different outfits! She graciously is letting me use these photos for my blog so you should all go check out her instagram!

When Ashley first showed me this dress she wanted me to wear I was a little nervous since it doesn't have much shape to it. However, once I put it on it was so lovely! I was shocked how cute it looked even though I'm so small. This dress was also super comfortable too! With spring coming along having some comfortable floral dresses is always a must!

Things I Like

1. FOR MY LOVE OF FLOWERS because it is officially spring and fresh blooms are my favorite.
2. FOR MY CREATIVITY because lately all I want is to make pretty things.
3. FOR THE TIME I GET TO RELAX because spring break is over and so is it. It shall be missed.
4. FOR MY WANDERLUST because you are strong and a trip down dirt roads sounds glorious.
5. FOR MY STYLE because I am searching for the perfect t-shirt dress right now.
6. FOR MY WEEKEND because I cannot wait to put my toes in the sand and feel the ocean breeze in my hair.

21st Birthday

It's official I am 21! My mother told my that my youth is over...But that's okay because I feel like I still can do so much and have so much fun. Being 21 feels so weird. I do feel older. Like I don't have anymore birthdays to look forward too, or the fact that if I wasn't an adult before I really am now!

This birthday was pretty fun. It was the Friday before spring break so that was awesome! I also didn't have any classes on Friday so I got to sleep in. Michael only had classes in the early morning so he had a surprise date planned. Once we got in the car he told me where we going, which was The Getty Museum in L.A. I love museums, and it was so fun!

Also, look at this diamond necklace Michael got me. I'm seriously so blessed!

After we got back from L.A. my parents took us out to dinner and to see Cinderella. Which if you haven't seen this movie you need too! It was so good! I loved every aspect of the movie. I thought it was so well done! I can't believe how much effort was put in to the movie so they didn't use a lot of cg. Just go see it!

Basic Red and Stripes

It totally feels like spring!! As much as I love winter, we here in So Cal never get to experience spring. We get summer, fall, and wind. That's pretty much it. Which makes a this season loving girl really sad. So I will enjoy this 75-80 degree weather as long as it lasts!

This weekend a local church had a massive rummage sale! They do it about every year and it is one of my favorite things to go too. I always walk away with some really awesome finds. This skirt was one of them. I like that it's a bit longer than other circle skirts I own, and I mean it's also classic red. I wore this outfit to church on Sunday since we sit outside to watch the service. Also please ignore the weird way my necklace was laying. I don't know what was going on!

Layered Up

Ladies, it has been one heck of a week! I am exhausted. It has been a week where everything seems to be going wrong...between plans changing, projects not printing correctly, to more class work than expected I just feel like I cannot win. I am really hoping that next week is simpler and then I can move onto spring break!!

So last weekend Southern California finally got some rain. It was so nice to enjoy the cold weather. This was one of the outfits I wore. Michael's mom bought me this jacket for Christmas and I really love it. I have a black leather jacket, but having brown feels a bit classier. Also my boots. These are seriously the best. They are riding boots so they are real leather. This helps keep my feet warm and dry.

Happy March!

Can you believe it is already March? It feels like this semester has flown by! I thought I would share why I think March is such a great month, and the exciting things it holds for my life!

In March....

...I get to register for classes for my senior year! I cannot believe I am going to be a senior in college already!

...I turn 21!! WooHoo! Yes, March brings my birthday and who doesn't love their birthday month?!

...SPRING BREAK! In just 2 weeks I am on spring break. I have been looking forward to spring break since January. I am in desperate need of a break from school (aren't we all?). Not to mention spring break comes right after my birthday so I get a whole week long to celebrate!

...Michael and I will celebrate our one year anniversary. The last day in March was our first date. We went to a hockey game last year, and I can't wait to celebrate with him.

...I celebrate my 2nd year of blogging! This blog is my one of my favorite hobbies. Sometimes I get really busy and this little space on the internet gets neglected but I always will return to it. This blog means so much to me and I am so excited to have another year coming!

Does March hold anything special for you?

Valentines Day Weekend

Happy Valentines Day Weekend! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Mine was seriously incredible. Coming back to the reality of the week as not been so great. I am definitely suffering from a case of the Monday Blues. Hopefully I can get out of this funk by Tuesday..

For Valentines Day Michael and I celebrated by going to Disneyland. We choose to keep this year pretty simple since my birthday and our one year anniversary is right around the corner. Disneyland was pretty packed so we didn't get on a lot of rides, but we enjoyed walking around the parks. We also sat and watched the parade which is something I wouldn't normally do so that was awesome!

Sunday was also a really incredible day. Lauren Conrad and Anna Bond teamed up and had a pop up shop in LA. I had never been to a pop up shop before, and it was so cute! Now I know I will need to go to more (if my bank account can handle it)! The clothes were so cute (a little out of my price range *tear*), but I got some wonderful paper goods and a candle. Not to mention it was really awesome to meet LC! Total fan girl moment for me!

I got back from LA much earlier than expected, and my whole family was home! Which seems to be so rare now a days. It's been really lovely here in So Cal so we barbecued and had dinner out on our back porch.

As you can see it was pretty incredible weekend! What did you do?

Chambray Dress

My mom is seriously the best thrift shopper/garage sale finder ever. This weekend while I was doing a photo shoot for a project she was garage saling away, and found this dress for me. Now at first when I looked at it on the hanger it wasn't so cute. Isn't it funny how some clothes are like that? Then I put it on, and it was massive. The dress doesn't have much shape to it, but with a belt I fell in love! It is literally so wide I could probably keep this dress and wear it as a shirt once I'm married and pregnant. Yes, it is that large!

I choose to pair it with my black booties since I was at school, but I could have easily paired it with my wedges. Also I love denim! It is so easy to match anything with it. Not to mention it can form to so many different styles.
